That old adage rings true when we think about YXE as our collective home. We all live in this home, we take care of our people, our family, friends, neighbours and strangers. Why? Because we care. We are Canadians. It’s what we do.
CHARITY AND FUNDRAISING
It never ends. The reality of caring for those who ask for help takes time, energy and money, a never ending supply of money. Food, clothing, shelter all cost and in order to help, these items need to be bought. The cycle never ends. Neither does the endless hours on the phone asking businesses to donate.
What if there was a better way? A fun way to make this part of charity work less taxing for everyone involved? There is. We call it ARTPOSSE.
ARTPOSSE AND YOU
Saskatoon is infused with tons of creative people. Most work in isolation. Few know we exist.
Many don’t know how to market their creations, or are simply not comfortable dealing with the business end of things. We can help you.
THE ARTPOSSE – ARTISAN COLLECTIVE HUB
ARTPOSSE is gathering all YXE creative types under one umbrella. A powerful voice results when many become one, a voice united under one banner.
We are looking for any and all YXE artisans to join us. There are incredibly talented people who producing masterpieces in:
- clay sculpture
- welding
- wood carving
- pottery
- weaving and bead work
- textiles
- paint
- tattoo
- wine
- spirits
- food
- dance
- music
- song
When you think about art, everything has some degree of creativity to it.

CONNECTIONS
ARTPOSSE is establishing partnerships with YXE businesses, BIDS, and Civic groups promoting Saskatoon nationally worldwide. These organizations have a strong desire to make our city an outstanding place to live.
Think of the monthly events that happen in YXE. Folkfest, The Hobby Show, The Exhibition…Vesna and Ukrainian Day in the Park, Diwali and of course all the traditional yearly celebrations such as Christmas and Hanukkah. The list goes on and on.
Our First Nation neighbours have a rich history of creative, artistic people. Jingle dresses, and Ribbon skirts, dream catchers and the incredible paintings coming to YXE out of the northern communities is breathtaking. Waneskewin offers a tremendous artisan experience.
